Résumé (français)  :

Analyse d’études comparant n’importe quelle position horizontale à n’importe quelle position verticale.
Durant la seconde phase du travail, 17 essais randomisés comparant 2 401 accouchements verticaux versus 2 405 accouchements horizontaux. Le seul effet délétère retrouvé pour les positions verticales est une augmentation des hémorragies de la délivrance, surtout pour les positions assises.

Les autres effets sont favorables avec des OR variables et ceci avec un niveau de preuve 1 :
diminution des déchirures graves : 0, 22 [0, 05 – 0, 88]
diminution des extractions : non significatif
diminution des Apgar inférieurs à 7 : non significatif
diminution des anomalies du rythme cardiaque fœtal : 0, 46 [0, 3 – 0, 69]
