Résumé (français)  :

Abstract (English)  :

Restricted use of episiotomy is recommended over routine use due to the risk of anal sphincter laceration. Obstetrician coping under stress and tolerance of uncertainty in the second stage may influence operative obstetrical decision making. We aimed to study the relationship between physician cognitive traits and their risk of using episiotomy.
