L’objectif principal de l’étude est de pouvoir apprécier le devenir des enfants grands prématurés.

L’étude a aussi pour but d’estimer la fréquence de la grande prématurité, la fréquence des pathologies de la période néonatale et la survie des enfants, d’étudier les causes de la grande prématurité, décrire la prise en charge obstétricale et néonatale vis à vis de la grande prématurité, évaluer les conséquences pour la famille de l’accueil et la prise en charge de ces enfants.
