The COVID-19 pandemic has deeply shaken health systems. In this article, we take a look at how countries in the European Union and the UK have responded in terms of access to abortion. The laboratory results displaying inflammation and liver injury indirectly support the possibility of vertical transmission. Although infection at delivery cannot be ruled out, IgM antibodies usually do not appear until 3 to 7 days after infection.
