The presence of pre-existing pathologies, high maternal age and high body mass appear to be risk factors for the severe form of covid 19 in pregnant women. Premature birth rates are also higher for pregnant women affected by covid 19.

Our findings suggest that both boys and children with an early difficult temperament may be particularly susceptible to the adverse impact of postpartum post-traumatic stress symptoms. Additional studies are needed to further investigate the mechanisms at work.
