Bibliography on obstetric violence

Français Português Español

Do you wish to work on obstetric violence? AFAR (Francophone Alliance for Respecting Childbirth) reports on research.

Nearly 60 studies — medicine, maieutics, law, anthropology — had been selected and ranked in 2016: see our compilation (PDF in French). To facilitate quick identification, abstracts have been translated into French, commented and provided with links that allow you to reach the study in a single click. If you wish to go further, unselected studies are listed at the end of the document. Intended primarily for the French-speaking community in which this subject remains little studied, all studies are accessible in English via our multilingual database.

We very much hope that this work will help to raise awareness of obstetric violence, facilitate their prevention and provide useful guidelines for better care of victims. Do not hesitate to share widely!
