Do you wish to work on obstet­ric vio­lence? AFAR (Fran­coph­o­ne Alliance for Respect­ing Child­birth) reports on research.

Near­ly 60 stud­ies — med­i­cine, maieu­tics, law, anthro­pol­o­gy — had been select­ed and ranked in 2016: see our com­pi­la­tion (PDF in French). To facil­i­tate quick iden­ti­fi­ca­tion, abstracts have been trans­lat­ed into French, com­ment­ed and pro­vid­ed with links that allow you to reach the study in a sin­gle click. If you wish to go fur­ther, uns­e­lect­ed stud­ies are list­ed at the end of the doc­u­ment. Intend­ed pri­mar­i­ly for the French-speak­ing com­mu­ni­ty in which this sub­ject remains lit­tle stud­ied, all stud­ies are acces­si­ble in Eng­lish via our mul­ti­lin­gual data­base.

We very much hope that this work will help to raise aware­ness of obstet­ric vio­lence, facil­i­tate their pre­ven­tion and pro­vide use­ful guide­lines for bet­ter care of vic­tims. Do not hes­i­tate to share widely!
